For the liberation from sufferings and quick attainment of Buddhahood of all sentient beings, the Venerable Rinpoche mercifully opened the answer box “The Specific Dharma Answer Box sedengdy@163.com”. On the basis of systematic study at Sedeng Monastery Official Website, and the Dharma teachings and guidance at Guru’s Blog, numerous Buddhists and fellow practitioners can also pray for Guru answering questions. After praying, this issue’s questions and answers are as follow, let us learn together:

1. 我聽說對上師有邪見會下地獄，但是弟子不清楚怎麼樣才算是有邪見？
   

I heard that we will fall into hell if we have deviated view towards our Guru, however I’m not sure how deviated view is defined.
答：對自己的灌頂和傳法上師有邪見，就會下地獄。邪見就是任何認為上師不好的念頭。如果是上師的過失，不要誹謗，也不要宣揚，自己遠離；如果上師沒有過失，自己偶爾有不好的念頭，要立刻懺悔，時間不能久了。
If we have deviated view towards the Guru who teaches us dharma and offered us empowerment, we will then fall into hell. Deviated view is any bad thought we have towards the Guru. If the mistake is on Guru, we should neither defame nor advocate, simply get away from it. If there isn’t any mistake on Guru but only our occasional thought, we should confess immediately, remember don’t leave it too long.

2. 弟子曾經看到一個法門覺得很好，然後就在殊勝對境前發願要終身修持，但不多久又看到一個法門，就又發願要終身修持，這樣發了好多誓言。現在弟子也知道這麼多法不可能修的，我需要如何懺悔才可以清淨往昔亂發虛願的罪過？
   

Disciple once saw a very good initial approach of Buddhism and therefore made a vow to practice it in my life time in front of an extraordinary object. Shortly after I encountered another good approach then I made another vow and this keep repeating again and again. Now I realized it’s impossible to practice so many, what should I do to repent the sin of false vows that is overdone?



答：多念金剛薩垛心咒。
Recite Vajrasattva Mantra more.

3. 見到臨死之人，可以用色登寺的煙供儀軌為他助念嗎？
   

When we see people who is about to die, could we help chanting with the use of the Sedeng smoke offering ritual?
答：當然可以。有條件就點施食熏香，沒條件只念儀軌也可以。
Definitely yes, we should also use feast-offering incense if possible, if not then only chanting will also do.

4. 如果上師說的話和歷史相衝突怎麼辦？比如文成公主進藏和松贊干布傳揚佛法，歷史上松贊干布根本沒有信佛，很多文成公主進藏沒路過的地方也有文成公主的遺跡等等，這些問題該怎麼看待？
   

What to do if there is a contradiction in Guru’s previous statement? For example, Princess Wen Cheng and Songtsan Gampo spreading dharma. According to history, Songtsan Gampo didn’t believe in Buddhism and many places that Princess Wen Cheng hasn’t been to but there were traces of her, etc. How should this kind of problem be treated?

答：松贊干布是阿彌陀佛的化身，不可能不信佛。目前記錄的西藏歷史很不完整，曾經有過比較準確的史料，後來也被毀掉了。文成公主去過很多地方，除了色登寺，其他很多寺廟也去過，這是公認的，所謂的歷史上也沒有寫。



Songtsan Gampo is the embodiment of Amitabha so there’s no way that he doesn’t believes in Buddhism. The present documentary of Tibetan history is relatively incomplete, there used to be accurate historical materials but were then destroyed. Princess Wen Cheng has been to many places, except Sedeng Monastery, she has been to many other temples, which is widely recognised and had not been recorded in so-called history.

5. 您賜給弟子我的嘎烏盒裡，如果不小心弄進去了自己的頭髮或者沙子這類的東西，有關係嗎？
   

What should I do if I accidentally mixed some hair and sand into the Gauubox you gave me?



答：沒關係。
There’s no problem.
